PARISH EVANGELIZATION PLAN

St. Patrick Church in the City of North Hollywood, California offers a complete Evangelization Plan in accordance with our Mission:  to build God’s Kingdom!

 

Our Pastor Father Gregory King, and the Pastoral Team, guided by the Holy Spirit, and following the Acts of the Apostles have developed the following Evangelization Plan that includes the following groups:

  1. Evangelization School
  2. Small Communities
  3. Communities
  4. Liturgical Ministries
  5. Marriage Ministry Committee
  6. Family Catechesis
  7. Events: Vía Crucis, Posadas, Retreats…etc. 

 

1) – EVANGELIZATION SCHOOL

The Evangelization School is an evangelization service funded by Father Emiliano Tardif in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. 

 

The objective is to evangelize through at least 35 different curses, which are Christ centered, Biblical because they rely on the Gospel, and they come with the seal ke-ka-ko: Kerigmatic (a personal encounter with the Lord), Karismatic (from charismas), y Koinonia (community), in doing so the first step is having a personal encounter with the Lord to discover ourselves, our talents and going further, being part of a community.  St. Patrick has a specific goal which is to form a community of communities to form the Body of Christ.

 

Parish Initiation Retreat:

The Evangelization team and the Prayer Group have form a partnership to provide this retreat with the objective to introduce new parishioners to our parish.  It is usually offered one Saturday and one Sunday.  Call the office for dates.

Growing in Faith:                                                                                                             The week after the Initiation Retreat, the participants are assigned with a leader (shepherd) to provide them with spiritual growth through a series of meetings once a week. 

Evangelization School:

§   The first course in the Evangelization School is called “Felipe” provided once a week, which allow them to develop a closer relationship with the Lord and to discover the need to belong to a small community additionally they are encourage to participate in the general prayer group.

§   The second course is Isaiah to reinforce and continue growing in Christ and to participate if possible in the general prayer group.

§   The third course is Paul where the participants get trained and ready to outreach into the parish community to evangelize.

 

Since 2004 to December 2006, St. Patrick has provided around 15 Felipe courses, Isaiah and Paul totally in the Spanish language.
